Tell All Tuesday!

July 14, 2015 14 Comments
Hi everyone!  Welcome back to another edition of Tell All Tuesday!  Diana from My Day in K and I are having so much fun with this weekly linky party. Throughout the summer, Diana and I have been talking about our shared love of reality TV.  Some of our favorite shows we freely admit and some, well, truly fit into the guilty pleasures category!
So when coming up with this week’s theme we decided that we wanted to embrace our summer hobbies and turn them into reality…well sort of!
This week we want you to think about putting your life in the spotlight.  If the cameras were facing you on an everyday basis what would your show be called?!  Some of my favorite New Jersey reality shows are Cake Boss, Jersey Belle, and of course The Real Housewives of New Jersey!  What are yours?
Trying to come up with my reality show title this week, I won’t lie, was actually very difficult.  I thought that as a reality TV junkie I would have no problem coming up with one to fit my life!  All I kept doing was scrolling through my guide on the TV and searching through all of the reality TV shows currently airing.   As I was doing this, sitting on my floor with the broken air conditioning, it hit me. I would like to pitch to all you network execs out there…my new TV show about my life!

My new show, Perfectly Imperfect would be just that! It would show real moments of my life, all of the imperfect but happy moments!  Gasp an actual real reality show?!  I don’t know if the network execs could handle it!
The show would highlight all of my quirks when I’m trying to be the perfect teacher, the perfect wife, and the perfect puppy mom.
How would I show this?  Well, let’s start with that home that I’m sitting on the floor of.  I love my apartment but it is far from perfect.  We lovingly call it our “shoe box.”  The first scene of my show might open up with me tapping away on my computer (just as I’m doing right now) on the floor next to the printer and laminator that sits in the corner on the floor of our living room.
It would show my adorable pup Roger (who might look perfect when you first meet him) but then a bike comes along and our sweet innocent dog becomes a crazy little monster!  Did I mention that he would be barking like a maniac while lying in our window sill?  Oh you should see the damage he’s done to the paint there!
Perfectly Imperfect would of course feature my classroom and life as a teacher.  It would show my adorably organized bins placed around the perimeter of the room with matching labels!  It would show my chevron motivational posters hanging on the walls, and my cute outfits that I pick out to wear!   Annnnddd then it would show my cramped closets, harried schedule that I just can’t keep straight, and the trunk of my car that has all of my “back up” school supplies and seasonal decorations!  Not to mention the Mr. Sketch marker stains all up and down my khaki paints and fingers.  Never fails!
How else am I perfectly imperfect??  Well, I have NO spatial awareness, those poor camera men would be bumped into, tripped over, and spilled on on a regular basis.   My family always joke that it’s a successful dinner if I don’t spill across the table or fall off of my chair.  No joke!  My husband always jokes that I’m a short bull in a china shop.
My husband of course would have a starring role too!  How would we be perfectly imperfect together you ask?!  Well, it would show me TRYING to cheer for every.single.sports.team.from.Pittsburgh there is not to mention the soccer, tennis, and golf  games that are playing on the same night!  Perfectly Imperfect would probably show me slinking away after watching for five minutes and turning on one of my regularly scheduled shows like The Bachelorette!
I think Perfectly Imperfect would show just how hard I try to be perfect and how gracefully I fall on my face on a daily basis!  Why would I put myself in that kind of position you may ask?  Well, I think so many of us feel like we just can’t get it right some days.  I know that I’m exactly where I should be, doing what I love but I think seeing it with “no filter needed,” would be quite the REAL reality show!
Alright, enough about me!  We would love to hear about YOUR life as a reality show!  Grab the image below and link up with us to share your crazy/funny/real television show idea!
I can’t wait to “watch” your show and read about the behind the scenes action!
Thank you for stopping by!

Excellent idea for a reality show!! Love it! I hope your AC gets fixed soon because if it as hot there as it is here I know you are miserable in that heat! Thanks for sharing about your perfectly imperfect life!

I love that title idea!! šŸ™‚ I still have no idea what mine would be. I'll have to think on it more today. I can relate, Jayme – my dogs think they own the street. They bark at bikes, skateboards, random people walking by.. Haha!

I love the title! I am also a reality show junkie. I should say a BRAVO junkie. My husband likes to make fun of me and my real Housewives. Thanks again for the cool link up!

Thanks Melinda! Oh I definitely understand about the BRAVO obsession! I'm convinced anything Andy Cohen touches turns to gold! Thanks for stopping by!

I love your show's title, it's so great!! I can totally relate to your story, I love it!! I would love to watch Roger's scenes!! i can totally relate, though my dog's extreme hatred is towards flying insects (like stink bugs) as opposed to things with wheels. She has literally tried to climb the walls to get to a bug she spotted towards the ceiling!!
Thank you so much for sharing your show with us, it was really great to read it!!!

Oh my Erin, your dog sounds too funny! Maybe her and Roger should meet! A reality show with the two of them, chasing bikes and insects would be quite a sight! Thank you for stopping by and linking up with us.
