April Currently

April 2, 2015 16 Comments
It may be April Fools Day but this is no joke!  It’s time for the April Currently linky party with Farley!  I’m so ready for you April.
Listening: Modern Family is one of my all time favorite shows.  I have a huge line up of old episodes saved to my DVR in case of emergencies aka stressful nights where I need to zone out and get a good laugh!  I love the family dynamic and the actors in the show!

Loving: Tomorrow, tomorrow!  I love you tomorrow, you’re only a day away!!!!  Spring break officially begins at 3:20 tomorrow afternoon.

Thinking:  As much as I want the above image to be true, I have way too much on my Spring Break to-do list!  I want to be spending most of the time creating for TpT and playing with my new blog design which will be live soon (I.Can’t.Wait) but I have some more fun things on the ol’ to-do list.  Like, PDP summaries, Danielson Domain 4 write-ups, and other data collection that needs to get done.  I’m hoping to cross things off of the list early on so I can enjoy most of my break!

Wanting: I can not wait for the weather to turn around and feel like Spring!  I love to run outside in my little city.  We have a beautiful path along the Hudson River that overlooks the city and I can’t wait to get back outside.  I couldn’t deal with the cold this winter!

Needing: My husband and I are taking our first road trip with our dog Roger to visit family in Pittsburgh.  I NEED to pack and get all of our dog toys/supplies together.  We’re going to spend the weekend with my husband’s family celebrating Easter and I’m so nervous to bring Roger Dodger.  He’s very friendly but my sister-in-law has a tiny dog who Roger met once and mistakenly took her for a squeak toy. Yikes! What’s a dog to do?!  I’m hoping this second meeting will go a little better!

How could you be so mad at this face?!

Eggs-plain your name:  I had wanted to join the blogging community for a long time before starting in January.  One of my biggest hang-ups was what would I be called?!  I knew my blog name would be my identifier and I wanted it to be relevant to me and my goals for my blog, but I was struggling to think of something that really stuck with me.  One day I decided to sit down and just start typing up what I wanted to get out of my blog and what I wanted others to get from it as well.  After I typed for a little while, I read through it and realized that the words that kept coming up were teach, talk, and inspire.  I realized that my goals for my blog were to teach others about my passion, talk and connect to other teachers, and inspire other educators and students to try new things.  I quickly realized that my goal for the blog was what I wanted the name to be!  That’s how Teach.Talk.Inspire was born!

Head on over to Farley’s blog to see what other teachers are Currently up to this month!

I can't wait to see your new blog design. Mine will be done in June. I spent most of spring break working too, but try to make some you time too. (It is the shortest week of the year you know.)

How exciting that yours will be done in June! I can't wait to start blogging with mine, I hope it gives me more motivation to post more often! I will definitely take your advice and try and give myself some me time. We get so easily consumed by work but I need to learn better balance! Have a great day!

Loved reading how you came up with your blog name!! Teach, talk, inspire are 3 great words and work so perfectly for a blog name!! I'm sure you are so excited for your new blog – can't wait to see it! Hope you enjoy your road trip to Pittsburgh and have a great time!! I'm a Ravens fan so Pittsburgh is hard for me to type hahaha! Happy almost Spring Break to you!!

Thank you so much for stopping by Heather! It's too funny, I still have the document that I typed up when I was trying to come up with my name, I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. I'm glad you like the name because it's definitely something that took me way too long ha. I'm really a Jets fan but I am a Steelers fan through my husband and his family, they are hardcore, I completely understand the Ravens-Steelers battle! I hope you have a great rest of your week!

First of all, your dog is ah-dorable! What breed is he? I am jealous that you are just starting your spring break – mine was two weeks ago and is long gone!

Thanks Paige! Roger is a Beagle and German Shepherd mix but we think he has some other random breeds too, just a loveable mutt! I hope you're able to relax this weekend! Enjoy!

Hi there! First off, I have to say that Roger is just the cutest dog! Good luck with the Pittsburgh trip! Hopefully both dogs will get along, and it will be one less thing to worry about on the trip! I also love how you came up with your blog name! I wonder if you copied and pasted what you wrote into Wordle, would those words show up bigger in size? I hope you have a happy Easter!
