Dinosaur Counting Activities for Toddlers and Preschool

February 17, 2020 No Comments
Hi everyone!  I wanted to pop in today to share some of our newest counting activities for your toddlers and preschoolers with these Dinosaur Counting Mats and Number Activities.  If you have dinosaur lovers in your house or in your classroom, these hands-on activities will be perfect to help your little ones recognize numbers from 1-10.  This printable pack has 6 different activities that you can use with your little ones and their favorite dinosaur figurines or just simply with the printables inside of the packet.
Inside of the printable packet, you will find activities that include numbers 1-10 play dough mats that you can print and laminate or put in page protectors for your little ones to explore with.  There are also dinosaur picture mats that your dinosaur lovers can use to find how many of each dinosaur there are in the pictures.  There are options to have them simply circle with a white board marker or fill in the numbers themselves next to the picture once they have counted the dinosaurs.
The dinosaur create a picture activities are so much fun!  Included in the packet, you will find dinosaur number cards, printable pictures, and a background mat to create your own dinosaur picture based off of the numbers on the create a picture number sheet.  Your little ones won’t even realizing they’re counting and practicing their numbers because they will be having too much fun creating.
There are so many other hands-on activities to help your little learners practice their numbers with these dinosaur activities.  Another helpful tool inside of this packet are the numbers 1-10 number cards.  These cards can be printed and laminated so your little one can count the pictures with manipulatives and then trace the numbers with a white board marker.  These cards can be put on a ring for repeated practice or hung up for reference to practice number identification.
There are also dinosaur number wheels to use with clothespins that your little ones will love!  I don’t know what it is about clothespins but Little Miss Toddler loves the chance to use them whenever she can.  You can simply write the numbers on the clothespins for 1-10 and have your little one clip the picture to count the dinosaur or print and glue the matching pictures onto the clothespins for added practice.  I know this one will be a hit with your little ones!
I hope your little ones love these dinosaur counting activities as much as we do!
