Happy first day of June all! Summer is so close I can taste it. I’m so excited to be linking up with Farley for her famous monthly linky party! Make sure to link back to her site, Oh Boy 4th Grade!, not only to check out other fantastic blogger’s currently posts but also to donate to a very important cause; Wimberley, TX.

Let’s find out what my June Currently is all about!

Listening: I can’t get enough of the Big Bang Theory. It is my I can tune out, do work on the computer, and then fall asleep to the sound of Sheldon’s voice show. My husband knows that once Big Bang comes on, I am ready for bed!
Loving: This year I have gotten very into Zumba! I danced throughout my life up until college and love being able to use it as my stress release. I have never enjoyed a class as much as I do when this one instructor teaches. Sadly, some life events came up for her and she was unable to teach for the last few months. Starting tonight she resumed classes and will be teaching throughout the summer every Monday night! I’m so glad things have worked out for her and all is well. That’s the perfect way to start the week in my opinion, with a little impromptu dance party!
Thinking: Our last official day of school is not until June 19th, but we are all too aware that the last few weeks of school go by so quickly. I can already see my to-do list getting longer by the second so if I really wanted to stay ahead of the game I would start my report card comments. But, here I sit. Not report card commenting. Not even opening report cards.
Wanting: I wouldn’t be a Jersey girl if I didn’t say I spent most of my summer going “down the shore!” My parents have already been down getting the beach house ready for the summer season the last few weekends. Unfortunately, I haven’t made it down yet and I’m not sure when my first trip will be. I can’t wait to sit on our balcony by the bay and relax with a good book. That is my heaven!
Needing: My classroom organization these days is not too bad. I have been trying to do a little every day so the end of the year clean-up won’t be too painful. The same can’t be said for my house! Everything that you can see when you walk into my apartment looks organized and put together until…YOU OPEN THE CLOSETS! Yikes is all I have to say! Another summer to-do on the top of the list? Organize, organize, organize! I’m hoping to weed through some old clothes that I haven’t touched this year in hopes of donating. I’m not usually one who easily parts with things, wish me luck!
Summer lovin’: My husband and I celebrate 3 years at the end of the month. We’re trying to put together a last minute tropical vaca in mid-July. Nothing too crazy but we just want to be sipping tropical drinks on a white sandy beach somewhere. Is that too much to ask?! I hope it happens! In a week, we’ll be traveling to Seattle to see my little brother graduate college. I can’t wait to visit and celebrate this special time with my family. Lastly, my hubby is turning 30 August 1st and I’ve been working closely with my family and his to put together a surprise party for him. He doesn’t like surprises or birthday parties soooo let’s hope he changes his mind and likes what we’re planning!
Hope you all are having a wonderful start to your month!
Thanks Farley for hosting!

Your needing is my needing! And my last day is also June 19th! It's weird though because instead of being jealous of those who are already out, I feel the same way as you – it's going to FLY by!!

Yip! Love me some Sheldon too! Enjoy your summer! It sounds perfectly magical – sitting on the balcony with a good book, I can't think of anything better!

Learning to be awesome
We get out on the 18th! The kids are so ready to be done! I have to clean out my closets too, dreading it but I do love organizing. Have a fun anniversary trip!

Sounds like you have a super fun summer planned! My husband and I went to Seattle for our honeymoon….and LOVED it there. We are cold weather/rainy type people….the further North we can go…the better! Sounds like you guys are the opposite–sunny and beach, ha!

Hi Jayme! I love Big Bang Theory! My son is like a mini-Sheldon, so he loves him, too! I grew up 30 minutes from the beach in Southern California, so my family spent every summer day at the beach when I was a kid. That's one of the few things I miss, now that I live in the rolling green hills of Tennessee. Enjoy your vacation! Carol Carol's Teaching Garden
Closet cleaning must be the to-do for this summer 🙂 It's on my list too! Enjoy your last weeks of school!
