My New Picture Book Is Here!

Harper Handles Big Feelings Is Available for Pre-Order

I’m beyond excited (and honestly, a little emotional) to finally share some very big news:
My debut picture book, Harper Handles Big Feelings, is now available for pre-order!

This story means so much to me. I wrote it after experiencing countless tender, messy, and beautiful moments with my daughter — the kind of days when we were both flooded with big emotions, and I longed for a simple way to help guide us through them together.

Back when she was a toddler, our days often overflowed with frustration, joy, and everything in between. I didn’t always have the words. I didn’t always have the tools. I just remember thinking, I wish I had something simple — something we could both hold on to when things felt too big.

That wish became Harper.

About the Book

Harper Handles Big Feelings follows a little girl through a day filled with emotional highs and lows. When Harper feels overwhelmed — whether it’s frustration or excitement — she learns how to pause, breathe, and repeat a sweet, simple rhyme to calm herself down.

The book introduces a gentle strategy that kids and parents can use together in real-life moments: at the breakfast table, in the car, at bedtime, or anytime big feelings show up. It’s not just a story — it’s a practical, cozy tool you can return to again and again.

Why This Book Matters to Me

I didn’t write Harper from a place of perfection. I wrote it from experience — from moments where I felt unsure, tired, or overwhelmed as a mom. I remember wishing for a book that could help my daughter understand her feelings and help me know how to support her better.

I wanted something that didn’t just tell a story, but offered something we could actually use. That’s what Harper Handles Big Feelings became: a way to connect, to breathe together, and to remind our kids (and ourselves) that it’s okay to feel big things.

This book reflects my heart as a mom — and it’s one I hope helps other families feel seen, supported, and soothed.
