April Currently!

April 2, 2016 10 Comments
Hellooo April! Anyone else feel like March was the LONGEST month that just didn’t want to quit?!  I definitely was feeling that even though it was a good month, I am ready for a fresh start.  My school year runs later than most and we don’t end until June 23rd (happy wedding anniversary to me!).  Because of this, our spring break is usually later in the year, which I’m thankful for.  Even though we had a long weekend for Easter, my first grade loves and I are ready for a B.R.E.A.K.

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the start of a new month (and getting one step closer to spring break) then with Farley’s Currently linky party!  I am so excited for what’s coming up and I’m glad that I can share it with you!  So here’s what I’m currently up to…
Now for a quick round up…I can’t stop listening to Chip and Joanna.  I would love for them to come and find me an adorable fixer upper!
This rainy weather can stay for one more day in my opinion.
I can’t wait for my firsties to be having some reader’s theatre fun with fables and folktales this week!
I’m on the hunt for cute rain boots and a raincoat for my trip to London in wait for it…a week and a half!  I have ALWAYS wanted to go to London and for my 30th birthday my husband surprised me with a spring break getaway!  We’re going to be complete tourists and wander the city to find all of the places I’ve read about and seen on TV.  So, rain boots are a must!
New (cute) sneakers = workout motivation.  Am I wrong here??
Finally, SPRING BREAK IS ALMOST HERE!
I hope your April is off to a wonderful start!  Don’t forget to head back to Farley’s blog to read what other teacher bloggers are currently up to!
Enjoy!

Ah you will love London! So many good things to see and do. And so funny to find things you've only seen on tv (like when I was in NY at Christmas!)

I am with you on March being long. For me, the stretch from winter to spring break is incredibly long. We do not get a mid-winter break and while we get MLK Day off…that's pretty much it between December and the beginning of April. It's a LOOOOOONG and very stressful and tiring stretch. I am so grateful to finally be on break because while I love my kids and my job, downtime is always a good thing.

Hope your trip is fabulous! I just ordered a raincoat from MarleyLily.com that is quite nice. It was pricey, to be a raincoat, but I like it a lot. And I can tell you that my Nikes are my go-to sneakers. I have other brands, but the Nikes are the most comfortable- it's what I wear to school everyday! Have a great April!

FUn! My family is all from Ireland and England so we go there about every other year! I suggest looking at Thread-up or Poshmark for some rain boots! You can get hunters for pennies on the dollar!

    OR

Buy some when you get there! Make them mean a little bit more!
