Can it really be true?! July 1st has arrived and I can’t believe it! As sad as I am to see summer flying by, I always love linking up with Farley for her monthly currently! My summer night owl status has allowed me to link up a little early too, thanks Farley for hosting as always!

Listening: In high school my favorite English teacher assigned us Jane Austen’s Emma. When we finished reading it she showed us the Gwyneth Paltrow version and asked us to compare it to Clueless. Be still my teenage heart! You want me to watch one of my favorite movies in school?! I thought I had hit the jackpot. Surprisingly or maybe not so much since I’m a sucker for romance, I fell in love with Emma and really enjoyed the assignment. Every time I catch it on HBO I watch it all over again.
Loving: My dog Roger or as my husband calls him, my summer buddy, has decided to not leave my side while I’m home now that it’s pretty frequently. He waits up with me while I blog away or Pin my little heart out and then follows me to the bedroom when I’m ready. He’s my little shadow and I just love him!
Thinking: We’re leaving for a weekend trip to my husband’s aunt’s lake house Thursday afternoon and I desperately need to go shopping to stock up! An excuse to go to Target I will gladly take any day! I’ll be stocking up on snacks and drinks but don’t worry I’ll also be hitting up the clothing section and dollar spot while I’m there!
Wanting: Have you ever heard of The Red Dress Boutique? Well, they have the CUTEST dresses for really great prices that I have been fawning all over. I follow them on Instagram and have been drooling over there new releases every day this summer. I have been controlling my online shopping hand thus far but I don’t know how long I’ll be able to hold on! See for yourself on their website here! What’s even more interesting? They were on Shark Tank and made a deal with Mark Cuban! Any Shark Tank fans out there? My husband and I love the show!
Needing: I have been going back and forth with a classroom theme this year. I currently have a Boho birds light pastel color scheme going on but I think I’m DONE with the bird thing. I’m leaning more towards black bulletin board paper and TONS of bright colors! Clean, simple, and bright. We’ll see, time’s a tickin!
All Star: I am an all star coffee drinker extraordinaire. During the school year I can’t function with less than 3 cups of coffee a day. I can even take my coffee drinking skills into the night and have a cup of REGULAR coffee before going to bed and fall asleep with no problem. This probably isn’t something to brag about but my parents have this talent too. Maybe it’s genetic?! Anyway, now that it’s summer and my night owl status is back in full effect, my coffee drinking skills have really been put to good use!
Thank you so much for visiting and checking in with me. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week and are looking forward to a busy but fun holiday weekend!

My dog stays with me all day/night during the summer, so completely get that. My hubby can call her and she will ignore him. It drives him crazy.
So, it made my day to see you mention Red Dress. The owner is incredible! I know this because we grew up together and played sports together. I promise you can't support a more humble, hard-working person than Diana. She's a class act. Glad to see that you love her store š
Any excuse to go to Target is a good excuse! And ours has a starbucks in it so I can drink that coffee right along with ya! Enjoy your upcoming trip!

I love a black background on bulletin boards. Anything you put on it pops! Hope you have a great time at the lake!
Krazy Town
I have really been enjoying getting more snuggle time in with my dog as well this summer! I never need an excuse to go to Target, either. I told my husband that we can never live more than 20 minutes from a Target, which means immigrating to Canada to live on a self-sustaining farm in the country is completely out of the question now. Lol! Also, my room theme is black with bright colors. You will love it! It is so versatile!

Isn't spending the summer with your furbaby the best!! My sweet girl has spent as much time as she can as close to me as she can get! I can't wait to get to Target myself, I do so love their Dollar Spot! Good luck with choosing a new classroom theme! I like your idea of black backgrounds with bright pops of color, that sounds great!
Thanks so much for sharing your July Currently, I had a great time getting to learn more about you!
Warmest Wishes,

Black and neon colours ALWAYS pop out! Easy to match up and can lasts ages and ages. I would love to see what you do with your new theme! (I'm all about the fish and underwater/ocean theme!)

Summer is all about the pups! Cuddles, walks, petting, park visiting, baths, ball tossing – gotta love them!
I am redoing my room a little this year… I had an owl theme with red, yellow, B&W chevron polkadots… I am thinking of doing a forrest theme this year. Have you blogstocked School Girl Style yet?

I am the same way with coffee. I can drink a cup of coffee at night and it actually makes me feel sleepy!! I love the happy feeling I get from drinking coffee! Funny thing is I just started drinking coffee 3 years ago. I used to start my day with a diet Coke! Still love my diet Coke, but I know it is soooooo bad for me! Happy Summer!
