May Pinterest Pick 3!

May 3, 2015 4 Comments
I’m so excited to be linking up with Pawsitively Teaching and Inspired Owl’s Corner for their fantastic May Pick 3 Pinterest Linky!  This time of the year can be stressful with end of the year assessments, summative meetings, and organizing and cleaning for the end of the year!  I’m hoping that some of these Pinterest picks that I’m sharing with you today will help uplift your spirits and keep you motivated until the end of the year!  For me, the end isn’t until June 19th so I’ve got quite a long haul left to go!  But, I’m still looking forward to celebrating Mother’s Day with my students and beginning to organize for the next school year!  Here are my picks for May, I hope you enjoy!

Sharing Kindergarten describes such an easy way to get students involved in cleaning and organizing the classroom at the end of the year!  I just love the idea of getting students involved in some of the work and not putting all of the pressure on the teacher. This seems like such a simple and effective way to get organized.

Like I said before, the end of the year comes with way too many stressors!  I love this pin from Kathy Griffin’s Teaching Strategies blog.  She discusses several realistic and helpful tips to help teachers combat stress and stay positive during this time of the year.  I don’t know about you, but I can always use a daily dose of positivity whether it’s the end of the school year or not!

Are you inviting some lovely ladies into the classroom this year to help celebrate Mother’s Day with their children?  I am and I can’t wait for it!  It’s stressful to prepare but it’s always so much fun to provide a special day where busy moms or other special women can come and spend time with their little loved ones.  It’s a treat for me also because my mom comes in to help me organize and celebrate!  I love this pin by Jodi Southard from Fun in First Grade.  For my Mother’s Day celebration, people are always arriving at different times.  This bag of conversation starters would be such a great way for my little ones to kick of the celebration with their moms!  I think the conversations that would take place would be just priceless!

I hope that you will be able to use some of these ideas in your classroom!  Have a wonderful day and don’t forget to check out all the other wonderful blogs participating in this linky!  Happy Pinning!

I, too, love letting the kids help in end-of-year clean up. It is their classroom after all. Plus, I have such good memories of cleaning up and organizing at the end of school. We all loved it!
    Thanks for the ideas!

No idea why, but your first pin made me think that I need bins for my students to put supplies in that they don't want as they clean out their lockers! Thanks for the pinspiration.
