Create an engaging apple orchard dramatic play stand perfect for your toddlers and preschoolers.
Apple Orchard Dramatic Play Stand
The start of September signals a few things. The start of football weekends, the hope of crisp mornings, and all things apples and pumpkins.
One of my favorite ways to bring the excitement of a new season into my home is by setting up this apple orchard dramatic play set up for my daughter.
I turn our market stand into a full apple orchard with menus, cash register, order slips, and delicious apple treats to order at the orchard.
What Is Dramatic Play?
Dramatic play or more commonly known as pretend play, is one of our favorite ways to play in our home.
The benefits of dramatic play set ups like this include:
- sparing imagination
- opening doors to creativity
- allowing little ones to explore real world scenarios
- encourages problem solving
- helps to develop new vocabulary
How To Set Up
This apple orchard dramatic play stand may look complicated. However, it only takes a few items to recreate this.
All you need is to print the images out and include your own cash register and play food to set this up.
This kind of set up inspires creativity and leads to hours of independent play. Which we know for our toddlers is essential.
I love our market stand to help create dramatic play set ups like this, but it’s not necessary if you don’t have one.
You can create this apple orchard dramatic play stand with a cash register, a table, and a few baskets.
One of our favorite ways to play with this apple orchard dramatic play stand is to make it into a cafe.
